PowerPlus Provides

Powerful Results to Growers,

University Researchers

Recent research conducted at Texas A&M University in Weslaco, Texas, demonstrated that soybeans receiving 170 pounds of nitrogen plus one gallon per acre of PowerPlus™ yielded 130 bushel per acre. The control plot which received 170 pounds of nitrogen and no PowerPlus had a yield of 55 bushel per acre. While this may seem hard to believe, Albert Liptay, research director at StollerUSA, contributes the significant yield increase to the plants’ improved use of nitrogen made possible by the PowerPlus application.

“PowerPlus is designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of nitrogen applications for soybeans and corn,” said Liptay. “It appears to increase the rate of incorporation of nitrogen into proteins and other molecules. It makes the plant run more efficiently.”

Ed Shoup has experienced improved nitrogen use and increased yields with PowerPlus.

Orville, Ohio, has experienced the increase in rapidly, sugar is drawn from the roots and lower nitrogen efficiency first hand. Shoup, whose business includes 1,350 acres of corn and 200 acres of soybeans said the PowerPlus application and manure in their corn and fields will allow them to decrease their purchase of nitrogen.

“It appears to be the ‘right balance’ with manure,” Shoup said. “We have been tweaking the formula that will work best with the operation.”

Shoup is continually concerned with producing quality grain that will help livestock performance. His use of PowerPlus has not only improved
